I've been designing posters for only the last 30 years. Nowadays, many of them end up existing in the virtual world that we all live in, but all are designed in the size, format and technical specs of a poster - 100x70 cm, CMYK, ready-to-print.

 

I do cultural posters, political ones, I tell jokes on posters, and try to evoke feelings
of empathy, sadness or rage. I do posters for customers, and I do posters for friends
and for myself, sometimes I get paid for them (not enough though, not enough…),
other times I do them pro-bono.

 

Over the years I was lucky enough to be of service to some wonderful causes, help amplify issues of importance, or just make someone happy. Posters were presented in exhibitions and Biennales around the globe, some of them won prizes. Although it’s very rewarding, it's never been about the respect, but the recognition. First and foremost of the issue at hand, and then, recognition of the fact that I served it well.  

 

I love the moment of facing a blank sheet in the morning, it’s exciting.
